The North Washington Volunteer Fire Company, in northern Butler
County, has a busy schedule of activities, with the annual Rodeo
as one of its largest attractions, in August each year.
With thousands attending the Rodeo,
businesses who advertise in and around the arena know that their
advertising creations are going to be well read. Large ads
can be placed on the chutes where the horse and bull riders
emerge in competition and banners can be placed in other
areas. In addition, an attractive wall contains names of
many local businesses that are supporting the firemen's
activities.
Other
activities draw large crowds to the arena the truck pulls, the Sportsmen's Night, and other
events. Individuals or businesses can also sponsor the
individual rodeo events.
Those interested in either advertising
at the arena, or in sponsoring events, can contact Jim Zanella
724-287-6170, Sue Confer 724-753-2523 or Nick Grove
724-894-0140.
This year will mark the 47th year that
the Fire Company has sponsored the Rodeo, and will be the third year that the International Professional Rodeo Association has
provided the contestants.
With many local people desiring to be
participants, the new association permits many to join in the
events that could not compete previously.
Other events on the North Washington
calendar are the Spring Auction March 27, Sportsmen's Night
April 10, Community Day May 15, Truck Pull June 12, Rodeo Parade August
14, Rodeo August 15-19,
Turkey and Ham Shoot November 11, Sportsmen's Night November 13,
Christmas Auction November 25, and the Children's Christmas
Party December ?. |
